T68 SplitFire Dual Feed Paintball Gun

Posted by Mike On Aug - 12th - 2009

The T68 SplitFire features a dual-source ammunition feeding system, capable of providing two different types of .68 caliber ammunition at the turn of a dial. The T68 SplitFire can carry two types of ammunition simultaneously, and allows the operator to select the most effective projectiles for the situation - then change back as needed, at the turn of a dial. When the situation changes, so can your ammunition.

How To Change an O-Ring

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

What You'll Need
  • New o-ring
  • Pick tool
  • Lubricant - I prefer paintball gun grease
For this example I will change the o-ring on a bolt.

Identify the O-Ring That Needs To Be Replaced

Identify an o-ring that needs to be replaced by looking for cracks, warping or frayed edges. Common areas that need replacing are on the bolt, the hammer and on tanks.

Take your pick and place it under the edge of the worn o-ring. If you don't have a pick, you can use tweezers, a nail or some other small, pointed device.

Remove the Old O-Ring

Pull the o-ring off the bolt.

Grip the O-Ring

Take the new o-ring between your thumb and pointer finger.

Put on the New O-Ring

Use your middle finger to pin the o-ring against the back of the bolt and use your opposite pointer finger to pin the side of the o-ring. Use your thumb and pointer to pull the front of the o-ring over the front edge. O-rings will stretch enough to fit over whatever you need to replace but be sure not to over-stretch the o-ring or it won't function properly.

Lubricate the O-Ring

Take a dab of lubricant (I prefer grease) and rub it around the o-ring with your finger. This will help ensure a good air seal and improve the life of the o-ring.
